Today, the Province of Nova Scotia launched an Open Data portal site, starting with 137 different data sets.
According to information released, they will continue to add data quarterly and remove data only if it isn’t being used.
The Open Data portal also includes a contact form to request data sets for addition to the portal; provided those data do not break confidentiality or create privacy concerns.
Congratulations to the Province of Nova Scotia for recognizing, and taking action on, the need for open data; to fuel smart and informed decision making!
Happy data mining!
